Description

Any and all feedback is really welcomed for these images. I've really been struggling to try and make them what I want them to be. I am really striving for this slightly timeless image. I don't particularly want them to look modern or of any particular time. I also want them to feel rather clean cut and without too many identifiers, like shirts with words or obvious brands and things. I had a tutorial last week and my teacher looked at them and said because I am American and the girl is blonde she thought of California blondes and that kind of thing and because the jeans are rolled up she thought of rockabilly style. I personally don't get this out of these, but I am interested in finding out what other people might get out of them. I've written about this before that I really like making images that possibly make people use their imaginations a bit and I like to have people bring their own experiences to my images instead of necessarily telling them what they should get out of them. That's particularly what I like about creating these slightly unusual images, everyone's got their own story about them.

I don't really think of a particular area because of the hair, but the style of clothing(mainly the plain loose tank top) plus the typewriter almost have a feel of maybe the late 60's or 70's. That may just be me.
That aside, I think that she exasperated with the writing of some form of paper because of the crumpled up papers. Or maybe is just trying to learn how to use the typewriter.
All in all I like the photo very much.
